A Paraguay residency consultant does three things: builds the file, holds the appointments at two authorities, and translates between you and a process that runs in Spanish.
What no consultant does is decide faster. The processing time belongs to Migraciones.
What a Paraguay residency consultant is actually paid for
The file. Birth certificate, criminal record, INTERPOL certificate, Policía Nacional certificate and proof of economic solvency under Resolución DNM 407/2026 — each apostilled, then translated into Spanish, in that order and not the other way round.
And the appointments: Migraciones for the residency, Identificaciones for the cédula. Two institutions, two queues, both in Spanish.
Paraguay residency help and Paraguay residency assistance: how to judge a quote
Paraguay residency assistance is judged by the split. Government fees are published and identical for everyone — Gs. 2,926,925 on the general route, as the fee table shows. A quote that will not say whether the government fees are included, or at what figure, makes comparison impossible.
And by what is promised. Anyone guaranteeing a processing time is guaranteeing something held by someone else. Anyone offering a passport in months is offering something that does not exist — citizenship takes three years of permanent radicación and goes through the courts.
When you do not need residency assistance at all
If you speak Spanish, have time, and can fly twice, you can do this yourself. The honest reason to hire someone is not complexity: it is that an error in the file costs another flight, and the flight usually costs more than the fee.
If that is your situation we will tell you, on the call, before you pay. We would rather have one client fewer than one paying for something they do not need.
What a Paraguay residency application service cannot change
Whether you become a tax resident — the DNIT assesses that separately. What your home country still charges you. And whether the file is approved: Migraciones states plainly that filing does not presume approval.
What we do not say about this
That hiring someone changes the outcome. It changes whether the file is complete, and completeness decides whether the file stalls. That is the whole lever. It is real, and it is smaller than what is usually sold.
Common questions
- What does a Paraguay residency consultant do?
- Builds the file, holds the appointments at Migraciones and Identificaciones, and translates between you and a process that runs in Spanish. The processing time belongs to the authority, not the consultant.
- How do I tell an honest quote from a bad one?
- By the split between published government fees and professional charges. The fees are identical for everyone. A quote that will not say whether the government fees are included, or that guarantees a processing time, is promising something it does not control.
